    El-Makrifah PAI: Journal of Islamic Religious Education Vol. 1 No. 2 (2025) is published by the Department of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Makrifatul Ilmi Bengkulu Selatan, as part of its ongoing commitment to advancing scholarly publication in the field of Islamic education. This issue presents eight peer-reviewed articles that address contemporary and strategic issues in the development of Islamic religious education.   The articles explore a range of themes, including the ethics and regulation of artificial intelligence in education, religious moderation in digital spaces and educational metaverses, digital media-based strategies for Islamic religious instruction, educational inequality in underdeveloped and remote regions (3T), the integration of national and Islamic values in learning processes, as well as critical reflections on religious authority and identity in contemporary Islamic discourse.   The editorial board expects that this issue will contribute meaningfully to academic discourse and serve as a valuable reference for researchers, educators, and practitioners in the field of Islamic education. Constructive feedback and scholarly engagement are warmly welcomed to support the continuous improvement of future editions.

    This issue (Vol. 1 No. 1, 2025) is published by the Department of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at STIT Makrifatul Ilmi Bengkulu Selatan through the Open Journal System platform. It features eight scholarly articles addressing contemporary discourses in Islamic education, with emphasis on curriculum integration, religious literacy, identity formation, and educational technology.

    Key topics include the integration of Aswaja values into the Merdeka Curriculum, the role of PAI students in promoting campus-based religious literacy, and the construction of Muslim identity among millennials in digital spaces.
