Strategi Guru PPKn dalam Mengintegrasikan Dimensi Gotong Royong melalui Projek P5

Abstract:
This study aims to describe the strategies used by Civics Education (PPKn) teachers in integrating the value of cooperation known as gotong royong through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in schools that have adopted the Merdeka Curriculum. The research focuses on three major components: planning, implementation, and evaluation of project-based learning designed to strengthen students’ collaborative character. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with PPKn teachers, project coordinators, and participating students; direct observations during project activities; and document analysis, including project modules, learning tools, and student portfolios. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that teachers developed systematic lesson plans emphasizing collaboration, role distribution, and shared responsibility throughout the project stages. During implementation, teachers applied strategies such as group work, structured discussions, intensive guidance, and the creation of a supportive learning environment that encourages active participation and mutual assistance. Evaluation was conducted authentically through process observation, group reflection, and portfolio assessments, ensuring that the evaluation focused not only on final products but also on students’ character development. Overall, the integration of the gotong royong dimension through the P5 project effectively strengthened students’ collaborative attitudes, empathy, and responsibility. These findings confirm that P5 serves as an effective platform for PPKn teachers to internalize Pancasila values within classroom practices.
