Pengaruh Dialek Serawai Terhadap Fonologi Bahasa Indonesia dalam Presentasi Ilmiah Mahasiswa

Abstract

This research aims to examine to what extent the use of local dialects influences the phonology in Bahasa of students presentations at PGMI students of STIT Makrifatul Ilmi  Bengkulu Selatan. This study used qualitative research to understand specific phenomena or events, utilizing a descriptive approach. Data collection tecniques used analyzing student presentations through a combination of observation and documentary study methods, wherein the researcher listens to, observes, and records the interaction of material delivery to obtain the required information from the subjects (students). The results of this study indicates that local dialects have a significant impact on students, where vocabulary and pronunciation subsequently affect their grammatical structure. Furthermore, there is a positive impact when using local dialectc among students from the same tribe and region. Regional languages plays a crucial role in forming a collective identity among students on campus. They are frequently used in informal interactions between students, particularly outside the classroom, to strengthen social bonds and facilitate communication.
