Tinjauan Aswaja Terhadap Basuh Dusun Sebagai Sanksi Zina di Desa Durian Seginim Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the practice of the Basuh Dusun tradition applied as a sanction for adultery in Durian Seginim Village through the perspective of Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah (Aswaja). The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, where data were obtained through observations and interviews with local traditional and religious leaders. The results show that the Basuh Dusun tradition is carried out as an effort to cleanse the village from disasters believed to arise due to adultery. In the Aswaja review, this practice is analyzed based on the principles of maslahah mursalah and local wisdom ('urf) as long as it does not contradict the core Islamic sharia. This study concludes that Basuh Dusun is a form of social reintegration and an effort to maintain village morality in line with the values of Islamic moderation.
