Hadis Tentang Larangan Suudzan, Tajassus dan Ghibah dalam Perspektif QS. Al-Hujurat Ayat 12: Kajian Hadis dan Implementasinya dalam Kehidupan Sosial

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the content of Surah Al-Hujurat verse 12 and the hadiths that explain the prohibition of suspicion (su' al-zann), spying on others (tajassus), and backbiting (ghibah). This topic is important because these behaviors are still commonly found in society, both in direct interactions and through social media. The study employs the theory of Islamic ethics, which emphasizes the importance of maintaining social harmony and protecting the dignity of others. The research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach by examining the Qur'an, hadith literature, tafsir books, and relevant academic sources. The findings reveal that Surah Al-Hujurat verse 12 and authentic hadiths provide a strong foundation for Islamic social ethics. The prohibition of suspicion, spying, and backbiting aims to preserve brotherhood, social harmony, and mutual respect among individuals. The implementation of these teachings can be realized through guarding one's speech, avoiding the spread of unverified information, and cultivating positive assumptions toward others. Therefore, the values contained in the verse and hadith remain highly relevant in contemporary social life.
